National Catholic Youth Conference

What is NCYC November 17-19, 2011What is NCYC?The National Catholic Youth Conference is a powerful, biennial, three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperones. Nearly 22,000 young people and their chaperones participated in NCYC 2009 in Kansas City.What happens at NCYC?The schedule includes keynote presentations, prayer, workshops, liturgy, and opportunities to participate in reconciliation and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as recreational activities, concerts, and exhibits. A key component of NCYC is the thematic park, an interactive venue featuring the College Corner, a technology lounge, the Market Place, vocation areas, interactive games, service project areas, and various entertainment stages.Where can I get more information?All of the information you need is right here. Fund Raisers November 17-19, 2011How do I pay for my trip?First remember, that if you want to attend this trip, even if you have $0.00 to attend, God will provide the money! It may take some elbow grease and a little hard work, but if you want to go, we'll make sure to get you there!What is already planned:- Book Sale Fund Raiser - January 28-31, 2011Here are some other money makers:- Help a Parishioner - offer to serve our parishioners, and they are often willing to help out financially. What is a... Life Night Life NightLife Nights are the catechetical component of the Life Teen program. They present the Catholic faith in a way that teens see the Faith is relevant to their lives today.Topics rotate on an 8 Semester Curriculum based on the USCCB recommendations for adolescent catechesis.
Holy Hour Holy HourHoly Hour is an hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament with teens.On the first Thursday of every month, Holy Hour is accompanied by Praise and Worship. P&W is a way to enter into prayer through contemporary Christian music.
D Group D-GroupDiscipleship group is a small accountability group that seeks to go deeper into the Catholic faith. We discuss the Mass, Scripture, and vocations in a deeper way than can be achieved during a regular LIFE Night.
XLT eXaLT XLT is a night of all parish Praise and Worship. These events only occur twice a year and are open to ALL parishioners.
Social Social NightSocials are nights of fun community building. We play games like dodge ball, cabbage ball, blindfold bowling, Nerf gun wars, and much more!Come join us and bring a friend!
Issue Night Issue NightIssue Night is a night focused on a "hot button" topic. The issue is presented in light of the authentic teaching of the church.
